Vedalam

This review note was written on November 19, 2015 ·
Vedalam - The crowd in the movie hall was as good as the water stagnation outside...not much but not less either in spite of the bad weathers. Ajith is his charming self. Such a good masala film that this masala would run for an year easily, in my kitchen, even if I cook all 365 days. Ajith's emotions remind me of his excellent but similar performance in his old flick Vaali. Lakshmi Menon had a bigger and better role than Shruthi Hasan. Did someone tell her that this is a challenging, comedy role? Total nonsense. She was not required at all in this movie. Soori had ample scope to perform and so he does! Thambi Ramiah must be applauded for his impeccable performance as the blind, helpless father. Aaluma Doluma...Ajith struggles to dance but the song is meant for the dance floors in Chennai, so doesn't matter. Anirudh is good in his bg scores but tries to deafen you most times. Overall, we asked for it.
